QanunPro: A Free, Multitouch Qanun Instrument with Studio Quality Sounds
QanunPro is a free Android app developed by Ferhat Evak, under the Multimedia category and Music & Radio subcategory. This app offers a Qanun instrument that produces perfect sounds recorded with studio quality. QanunPro has fast response and supports multitouch, enabling users to play several notes at the same time. The volume mixer allows users to adjust the volume of each course of the Qanun.
The app includes Ethnic Tuning (Maqams) such as Turkish, Arabic, Persian, Greek, India, and more. Users can create and save their own tuning, with up to 26 courses. The QanunPro also features a Mandals System, Tremolo, Learn Mod, Velocity, Pads and Rhythms, and the possibility to record (only supports recording as a MIDI file). The keyboard keys' height is adjustable, and the app offers three different themes. QanunPro is a versatile instrument that can produce sounds comparable to a mix of a classical guitar and a harp in Western music.
